The Counseling Ministry

The Counseling Ministry of Christ Church is a biblically-based program focused on helping people who are experiencing mental health problems or other personal and spiritual concerns.
We are concerned with each person's psychological, spiritual and physical development.

The Bible is the foundation and guide for all counselors as they approach problems. It is this ministry's vision that in Christian counseling the supernatural makes a definite difference; whereas in secular counseling, it is generally ignored.

The counseling staff is comprised of a group of Spirit-filled Christians committed to helping others overcome their spirital, psychological and relational struggles. therefore, constant prayer, and the anointing of the Holy Spirit, working in and through the counselor are powerful resources that will be applied to assist each individual in obtaining a more abundant Christian walk and a healthy spiritual and physical life.

Goals

  • To be effective encouragers by helping others arrive at a state of wholeness.
  • To assist people with mental health issues and other problems.
  • To teach Biblical principles of living.
  • To foster spritual maturity by helping Christians enter into a richer experience of worship and a more effective life of service to Jesus Christ.

Program Overview

As Christian counselors, we adhere to the philosophy that the therapeutic experience of counseling will enable people to gain a sense of adequacy and positive self-esteem, and allow them to become more compassionate and to believe confidently in God's word. All counselors are required to assist clients suffering with emotional and mental disorders in a Christ-like manner. Counseling will hold the Scriptures to be valid and wholly truthful, but will not treat proven scientific truth as invalid.

This is a non-profit ministry. All counseling will be conducted in a professional manner and by scheduled appointments during both day and evening hours. Exceptions will be made for emergency cases.
