Ireland is a man who fits comfortably as a servant-leader in many
settings including the lecture halls of higher academia, the city-taking
church, and the boardroom where business leaders strategize.
He holds an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering
(Fairleigh Dickinson University), graduate degrees in civil engineering
(Stevens Institute of Technology) and theology (Alliance Theological
Seminary) along with an earned Ph.D. in organizational leadership
(Regent University). Dr. Ireland is the senior pastor of Christ
Church (Montclair, NJ), a multiracial congregation of upwards of
5,000 members.
Through the books he has authored, including: Failure is Written in Pencil and What Color is Your God? multiple thousands have been encouraged and instructed about the message of Christ's love. He has been called: the teacher we understand. His latest book is Perfecting Your Purpose: 40 Days to a More Meaningful Life.
He and his wife Marlinda have been married for 20
years and they are the parents of two teenage daughters, Danielle
and Jessica.
