What type of church is Christ Church?
Christ Church is a non-denominational, evangelical church, embracing a charismatic style of worship.
Our purpose is to proclaim the gospel Jesus Christ in our community and throughout the world using every medium of
communication capable to man.We believe the Bible to be the inerrant word of God, which is the final authority of
faith and practice to genuine Christians.
When did Christ Church begin?
Christ Church began in 1986 with six adult believers who committed themselves to healing broken lives
through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Now thousands of people gather each week at our corporate services to worship
and to experience God's love through Bible-based instruction and by building godly relationships.
Will I feel comfortable attending Christ Church?
Absolutely! Christ Church comprises people from diverse racial, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
representing approximately 25 different nations. Our messages address issues relevant to families, singles, the young,
and those that are young at heart. Our worship style is both progressive and reverential. We say that if you attend
Christ Church for more than 30 days, you'll experience passionate worship in music styles ranging from Bach to Boogie.

Integrate: We consistently work to present a church that is racially, culturally, and
ethnically integrated.

in IMPACT is for Music: Our worship will be celebrative, prophetic, and rich
in the participation of the performing arts.

in IMPACT is for Prepare: We strive to prepare the next generation to reach its
potential for Jesus Christ through innovative methods of instruction.

in IMPACT is for Academic: Educational advancement is an ongoing pursuit
for members of Christ Church. We plan to expand our academy for children as well as our school for performing arts
and to develop a school of ministry. We intentionally recognize students at all levels that excel in academic excellence.

in IMPACT is for Community: We believe that serving the needs of our
community is part of our Christian responsibility. We have declared "war"against the plagues of chemical
abuse, teen pregnancy, family crisis, and illiteracy.

in IMPACT is for Train: Christ Church strives to ensure that its membership
isbiblically literate and skilled in implementing the word of God. We view ourselves as developers of leaders.
How do you become a member of Christ Church?
At Christ Church, full membership occurs once a person has accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and completes
the Laying a Foundation Course. The course is the sole requirement beyond personal faith in Christ for membership
at Christ Church.
Is there a formal acceptance of new members?
Yes! After completion of the Laying a Foundation Course, the church provides a professionally printed
membership certificate to each new member.

What ministry opportunities exist at Christ Church?
As our congregation continues to experience numerical
growth, the need for more volunteers exists. Members may participate
in ministries ranging from ushers and bookstore clerks to security
persons, small group leaders, and missions workers. The list of

How do
I get to Christ Church?
From North: Take the Garden State Parkway South to exit 148 (Bloomfield Ave.). Upon exiting,
go to the first traffic light and make a right turn onto Montgomery Street. Travel on Montgomery Street through two
traffic lights and make a right turn onto Bloomfield Ave. Travel 2.1 miles passing through Bloomfield, Glen Ridge,
and Montclair. Turn left onto Park Street, travel one block and turn right onto Church Street. The cathedral is located
on the left with off-street parking available through municipal lots.
From South: Take the Garden State Parkway North to exit 148 (Bloomfield Ave.). After the first
toll continue onto the service road and stay to the left. Proceed through the first traffic light and make a U-turn
(before 2nd light) underneath the parkway, quickly moving into the right lane after the turn. Turn right
onto Bloomfield Ave. (Texaco Gas Station on the right) and travel 2.1 miles, passing through Bloomfield, Glen Ridge,
and Montclair. Turn left onto Park Street, travel one block and turn right onto Church Street. The cathedral is located
on the left with off-street parking available through municipal lots.
What times are services held?
Sunday worship services begin at 7:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 1:00 p.m.
On Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. we gather for intercessory prayer for our country, state, and local communities that the
hearts of people may turn to Jesus Christ.
Bible study begins at 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday evening, focusing on various biblical and social topics
facing people today.
What is appropriate to wear to Christ Church?
Come as you are! There is no formal dress code. In fact, the dress ranges from casual to professional.
Do you have a ministry for children and teenagers?
Yes. Christ Church offers Children's Church for newborns to children 11 years of age.
Teen Church, our youth ministry, is provided regularly for teens 12-17 years of age.

Does Christ Church offer small group meetings?
Yes. In order to foster a sense of community and nurturing relationships,
we have established a Life Group system that meets twice a month for small group Bible study and fellowship.

What Support Groups exist at Christ Church?
We offer a variety of support groups including, DivorceCare, Healing Stream (freedom from sexual
addictions), and Boundaries (creating healthy relationships).
Our Overcomer's Support Group meets each Thursday at
8 p.m. This fellowship of men and women is designed to assist people
who have been directly or indirectly affected by substance abuse
(i.e., drugs, alcohol, etc.) to find the strength to overcome through
a biblically based twelve-step recovery process.
