Each candidate must be a committed Christian and have attended Christ Church for at least three months.
CHORAL DIRECTOR
This is a full-time staff position whose primary responsibilities are to oversee and/or direct various choirs, singing groups, and worship teams. The Choral Director will conduct weekly rehearsals with our 100-voice choir and 30-member worship team. He/she will also write choral parts and develop harmonies for original music as well as train and enhance the performance quality of soloists. In addition, the candidate will work closely with the other music and performing arts directors to plan yearly multimedia presentations for Christmas, Easter and other special occasions. A minimum of 5 years experience in vocal arranging and choral directing is required. Some knowledge of basic music theory and skill in basic piano accompaniment are also necessary. Good administrative and interpersonal skills are a must. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree is desired, but not necessary. Salary is commensurate with experience and a benefits package is included.
