Overcomers Thursdays at 8 p.m. The
Overcomers group provides support in recovery from abuse of alcohol,
mood-altering chemicals, and other life-controlling problems using
a therapeutic process of assisting people through 12-Steps that
lead to wholeness.
Pure in Heart is a support group of Christ Church that extends the healing and restoring grace of our loving God to men who are in bondage to sexually addictive behavior. The leadership team of Pure in Heart consists of men who have personally struggled in this area and have obtained freedom through the power of God's grace. Boundaries, Boundaries in Dating, Boundaries in Marriage, Boundaries With Kids
The Boundaries groups are eight to ten-week series, each offered twice per year. These groups feature weekly instructional videotaped presentations based on the best-selling books by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend. Through practical, non-theoretical exercises, participants learn how to set healthy limits with parents, potential spouses, spouses, children, friends, co-workers, and even themselves.

to 9:30 p.m. DivorceCare
is a support group designed to help people rebuild their lives when
dealing with the trauma of divorce. Featured are weekly videotaped
seminar sessions with nationally recognized experts on divorce and
recovery topics, followed by motivational and encouraging group discussion.
Childcare is provided. |
Life Groups are best understood by the acronym: L. I. F. E. -
Love, Instruction, Fellowship, and Evangelism. These small groups
averaging 10 -12 people, are designed to provide discipleship
and opportunities for building relationships. On the second and
fourth weekends of each month over sixty (60) LIFE Group meetings
are held at locations within a 1-hour radius of the Cathedral.
The meetings take place either in the homes of LIFE Group Leaders
or host families, who are members of Christ Church. Whether you
are a member or a visitor, you are welcome to attend our LIFE
Group meetings. For the day and time of the meeting nearest you,

The Learning Center is an academic ministry or Christ Church. The
Learning Center provides educational services to anyone in need of
basic skills remediation, supplemental instruction, and /or test preparation
for the Grade Eight Proficiency Assessment (GEPA), High School Proficiency
Assessment (HSPA), Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), and General Educational
Equivalency Diploma (GED). The Learning Center program provides state-of-the
art, computer-based academic instruction with hands-on personal guidance
from certified teachers and educators. Advanced studies in science,
reading, writing and math are key elements of our program. These services
are available to school-aged students and adults. If you wish to serve
in The Learning Center as a teacher you must fulfill the following

Our Prison Ministry serves six (6) correctional
facilities in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area. Through our
prison outreach we provide a variety of services to inmates ranging
from Youth Correctional Facilities to Maximum Security Institutions.
Christ Church donates Bibles, reading books, and discipleship literature
to these facilities. Our volunteers conduct worship services, Bible
Studies, and training classes designed to prepare inmates for re-entry
into society upon release from prison. For information on how you

Evangelism Training Seminars
Our evangelism training seminars are designed to train believers in
the fundamental techniques of sharing ones faith in a style
that is both natural and effective. Equipping seminars in the components
of relational evangelism are held twice a year. Using biblical examples
and everyday experiences, you can learn how to break free from the
misconceptions about evangelism, articulate biblical truths in plain
language, and discover a relational approach to leading unbelievers

The Marriage Builders groups are designed to
strengthen marriages and provide opportunities for couples to build
supportive relationships. These small groups average 4 - 8 couples
and meet in the homes of married couples who are members of Christ
Church. Whether you are a newlywed or a seasoned couple, you and
your spouse will discover and learn principles from Gods Word
that will help you enjoy a healthy satisfying marriage. The Marriage
Builders groups typically meets (3) three times per year on Sunday
evenings. For the date, time and location of the Marriage Builders

Our Nursing Home Ministry serves several nursing
homes in Montclair and the surrounding areas through regularly scheduled
visits in which interactive praise and worship services take place
as well as, Bible readings, skits, and room to room visits. Our
purpose is to serve the physical, mental, and spiritual well being
of confined senior citizens through sharing the gospel of Jesus

GriefShare - Mondays 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
GriefShare is a support group for people who are grieving the loss of someone close and is facilitated by people who understand the hurt that is experienced during this difficult time. Weekly videos feature interviews with leading experts in grief recovery followed by group interaction that brings healing, comfort, and encouragement. |
