Pastor Gregory Thompson, 1957 - 1997
Gregory Thompson served as the Media Pastor of our church. He supervised the various media ministries within the body. In his business employment, Pastor Greg was the Senior Trainer for a the Agfa Corporation. His extensive business travels provided many opportunities for him to touch the hearts of people with the message of Christ throughout the U.S. and abroad. As part of his preparation for the ministry, he earned a Bachelors degree in Religious Education.
In January of 1996 Pastor Greg was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. His doctors gave him three to six months to live. Through his perseverance and his unyielding faith in God, Greg not only endured the months of treatments but he continued to work as a senior member of the Body of Christ until his last days on this earth. On April 20th 1997 Pastor Greg returned home to his Father in Heaven.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie, who is also blessed with the gift to discern and counsel, and his three children: Danielle, Dana, and Joshua.
A special Fund called the Thompson�s Children�s Fund has been established through Christ Church to pay for the college education of Pastor Greg�s three children.
